Learn To Skate

The Westchester Skating Academy offers Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey classes throughout the entire year.  We follow the Learn to Skate USA program made by U.S. Figure Skating, which offers something for everyone, from the first steps on the ice to mastering advanced techniques.  Our mission is to provide a FUN and positive experience that will instill a lifelong love of skating at The Westchester Skating Academy!

  • Class Lesson Once A Week - 30 minutes.
  • Cost is $208.00 - Payable at the beginning of each semester. 
  • 10% Discount for the second family member or Greenburgh residents with ID card or IBM employees with ID at time or registration. ( No Exceptions)
  • Maximum of 12 Students Per Class - Minimum of 3 students per class. (consecutive levels may be combined if less than 3 student register)
  • Rental Skates Included
  • FREE PUBLIC SESSION - On the Day of class.
  • COUPON BOOK - to be used during the semester. Coupon books are available at the registration table on the first two weeks of classes only AND EXPIRE AT END OF SEMESTER.
  • CERTIFICATES - Certificates of achievement are presented to each student at the end of the semester.
  • REGISTRATION - $25.00 per year. All students must join the United States Figure Skating Association. This qualifies you for testing, shows and competitions.
  • EARLY REGISTRATION IS RECOMMENDED

WSA Philosophy

Our goal is to be the best family entertainment center in the community.

To achieve this goal, we will provide our customers with the highest quality programs in a safe and friendly environment. By paying careful attention to every detail and offering the best in customer service, our staff will ensure the every participant will enjoy their W.S.A. experience.

Policies and Suggestions

  • MAKE-UP POLICY: There will be no make-up classes permitted.
  • REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be given. The only exception to this will be our Snow Plow Sam 1 program. Any Snow Plow Sam 1 canceling after the second class will be charged a $25.00 processing fee and $25.00 per class fee. After the second class there will be no refunds.
  • LEVEL EVALUATION: During the first two weeks of class our professional staff will evaluate skaters based on age and ability to ensure they are in the correct class.
  • HELMETS: Are optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for tots and beginners.
  • SKATES: Should be comfortable but snug; skate should be slightly smaller than shoe size.
  • CLOTHING: Warm, layered, comfortable clothing (sweaters & sweatshirts are preferable to bulky jackets) and gloves.
